What you are paying for

Six things that move the price

Size of the opening

Bigger blinds use more mesh and hardware, so the price rises with width and drop. Most blinds run up to 5.8m wide and 3.2m drop.

Mesh, PVC or clear PVC

A shade mesh is the standard. Tinted or clear PVC, which holds off wind and rain as well as sun, sits a little higher.

Mounting system

Crank & Clip is the simplest and most affordable. Wire Guide sits in the middle. HD Channel, with full aluminium side channels, is the premium option.

Manual or motorised

A crank-operated blind is the entry point. Motorisation adds about $499 a blind for remote or app control.

How many blinds

Enclosing a whole alfresco with three or four blinds costs more up front, but less per blind than a one-off single opening.

DIY or installed

A DIY kit is the cheapest route because you skip the install labour. A measured, fitted job costs more but is guaranteed to fit.

Which is cheaper

DIY kit or installed?

The cheapest way to get quality outdoor blinds in Perth is a made-to-measure DIY kit, because you skip the install labour. MIY is one of the few makers that sells both, so you can even mix and match.

Loved by Perth homeowners

Did the DIY kit ourselves and the instructions were clear. Half the price of a fitted job and it looks great. Couldn't be happier.

Outdoor blind costs: common questions

What is the cheapest way to get outdoor blinds in Perth?

The cheapest option is a made-to-measure DIY kit, from $650 per blind, cut to your exact opening and fitted by you in a weekend. It is the same blind our install team uses, without the install labour.

How much does a professionally installed outdoor blind cost in Perth?

Installed outdoor blinds in Perth start from about $1,040 per blind for a Crank and Clip system, from $1,280 for the fully enclosed HD Channel, and from $1,950 for a wind-rated Zipscreen. Most three to four blind alfresco projects land around $4,000 to $9,000 fitted.

How much extra is a motorised outdoor blind?

Motorisation adds about $499 per blind, giving you remote or app control instead of a manual crank.

Are mesh or PVC outdoor blinds more expensive?

The mesh you pick moves the price less than the size and the mounting system do. Clear or tinted PVC, which blocks wind and rain as well as sun, usually sits a little above a standard shade mesh.

How much does delivery cost?

Pickup from our Canning Vale workshop is free. Delivery within Perth is a flat $249. Delivery to the rest of Australia is quoted for your address.

Do outdoor blinds add value to a Perth home?

They turn an alfresco into a space you can use through summer heat and winter rain. A usable outdoor room is one of the most requested features for Perth buyers, so outdoor blinds support resale as well as everyday living.
